Boatyard Bar & Grill, located within walking distance of Chesapeake Bay Magazine’s own offices, has been named one of the ten most famous sailing bars around the world, by Sail Universe.
Boatyard is one of just two East Coast bars on the list (the other is Newport, Rhode Island’s exclusive IYAC). The publication says of Boatyard, “a must-go-to in Maryland, this bar and restaurant is one of the most authentic ones in the world and a perfect spot to get to know some expert and enthusiastic sailors from the Chesapeake Bay.”
Boatyard is just inland from Annapolis City Marina in Eastport, where it’s been serving sailors and locals since 2001.
