Assateague Island Looking for Seasonal Workers

Do you know anyone who would like to live and work among the ponies on Assateague Island for a few months?

The Assateague Island National Seashore is hiring seasonal full-time laborers in its Maintenance Division, with the work to last from about February to May. Employees will spend their time maintaining the park buildings and grounds using riding mowers, tractors and other equipment, and hand tools.

The National Seashore, owned by the National Park Service, offers workers on-site, dormitory-style housing at reasonable rates. Though it’s remote, Assateague Island is just ten miles from the town of Berlin and Ocean City, Maryland, with medical facilities, entertainment, and plenty of shopping and restaurants.

If you or someone you know would like to apply, they have until Friday, January 19. Click here for more information.
