The anticipated Sandlot restaurant opens Thursday, June 15 at the new Harbor Point development, between Fells Point and Harbor East in downtown Baltimore.

Foodshed, the restaurant group also behind Woodberry Kitchen, is known for its cutting-edge concepts. And Sandlot will be no different. Its creators describe it as a bar, a restaurant, a beach hangout and an urban campground.

Sandlot boasts 30,000 square feet of outdoor space, including volleyball and bocce courts, picnic tables, a large children’s play area and a vintage Airstream camper. The bar and kitchen operate out of “tricked-out” shipping containers.

The food is casual—nachos, sandwiches, skewers, sausages and snacks—but with famed local chef Spike Gjerde at the helm, it’s not likely to be your run-of-the-mill concession stand.

Sandlot is located at 1000 Wills Street, Harbor Point, Baltimore, Maryland 21231. It’s also accessible via water taxi. It’s open beginning June 15, 2017; Monday–Friday, 4 p.m.–11 p.m. and Saturday–Sunday, 11 a.m.–11 p.m.
