The Annapolis Film Festival (AFF) is proud to announce an exciting new media partnership with Chesapeake Bay Magazine, the region’s premier publication celebrating life, culture, and conservation along the iconic Chesapeake Bay. This collaboration will amplify the 2025 Annapolis Film Festival’s programming, providing unique storytelling opportunities and deepening connections between filmmakers, environmental advocates, and the local community. The new partnership rounds out the reach of the Annapolis Film Festival which also partners with UpStART Magazine and Chesapeake Family Magazine.
This additional partnership underscores a shared commitment to storytelling, environmental awareness, and the vibrant maritime culture that is part of the Chesapeake Bay and its uniqueness in the region. Serving as an official media sponsor, Chesapeake Bay Magazine will offer in-depth coverage of the festival, interviews with filmmakers, and features on environmental-themed films showcased during the event. We’re especially excited to report on the films airing in the highly anticipated Sailing Showcase and Environmental Showcase.
Chesapeake Bay Magazine will also play a critical role in promoting the festival’s mission to foster conversations around conservation and environmental stewardship. With its strong readership base of boaters, conservationists, and coastal enthusiasts who enjoy living on the Chesapeake, the magazine’s engagement will broaden the festival’s reach and inspire meaningful dialogue, festival organizers say.
“We are thrilled to partner with Chesapeake Bay Magazine,” said Patti White and Lee Anderson, festival directors and cofounders of the Annapolis Film Festival. “Their dedication to celebrating the unique culture and environment of the Chesapeake Bay aligns perfectly with our mission to tell impactful stories that inspire action and change. Together, we’ll shine a spotlight on films that matter and conversations that can shape the future of our region.”
“I am thrilled about our partnership with the Annapolis Film Festival,” said John Martino, CEO of Chesapeake Bay Magazine. “This collaboration reflects our commitment to celebrating local culture and the arts. We believe storytelling through film is essential in connecting our community and we are excited to support these impactful narratives that celebrate the Chesapeake Bay.”
The 2025 Annapolis Film Festival will take place from March 27-30, 2025, offering a diverse lineup of 70+ films, panels, and events that celebrate independent filmmaking and creative storytelling. With this new media partnership, attendees can look forward to expanded coverage and dynamic new programming that captures the spirit of the Bay.
