Chesapeake Bay Marina Leaders Recognized by Marina Industry

From left to right: Desiree Bell, Donnie Quinn, Jason Tuel

Managers and harbormasters from three Chesapeake Bay marinas have been recognized by the Association of Marine Industries for their high level training and real world experience. And all three are in the Mears Marina Family.

Jason Tuel, who is harbormaster at Mears Point Marina on Kent Narrows, and Donnie Quinn, who is harbormaster at Mears Great Oak Landing Marina on Fairlee Creek, were both named Certified Marina Operators. That certification is given to those with “high character and ethics standards,” who successfully manage employees, sales and marketing, and ultimately, their bottom line.

And Desiree Bell, general manager at Mears Marina in Annapolis, was named Certified Marina Manager. The recognition shows that she has completed an extensive training process through the International Marina Institute, and continues to educate and train those who work within the marina industry.

Congratulations to all three Mears Marina leaders, recognized at this week’s Association of Marine Industries conference in New Orleans. To learn more about the association and these certifications, click here.
