Eastern Shore Sea Glass and Coastal Arts Festival- St. Michaels, MD April 4 – 5, 2020

The 9th annual Eastern Shore Sea Glass and Coastal Arts Festival in St. Michaels, Md. will return to the waterfront location on the campus of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum on Saturday, April 4, 2020 and Sunday, April 5, 2020.

The Sea Glass Festival will feature more than 90 artisans, many from the local Delmarva area, and others travelling from as far away as Hawaii.    The artisans will exhibit and sell coastal and sea-glass related jewelry, home décor, art, and much more.  The festival also includes two days of educational lectures by renowned experts including, Photographer Jay Fleming, discussing his photography along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay and will kick-off his exhibit “Island Life: Changing Cultures, Changing Shorelines” on Saturday.  Deacon Ritterbush aka Dr. Beachcomb will lecture on Saturday about Beach Pottery and Sunday about The Archaeology Of Beachcombing with a Focus on the Chesapeake Bay Region.  Mary McCarthy will present an exciting and informative lecture about Exploring Coastal Landfills of the East Coast.

The festival will feature live music both days on two stages from local musicians, John Belser, Jayme Dingler, Dave Hawkins, Emma Myers, Chris Sacks and Saturday headlining on the Navy Point Bandstand will be Annapolis based musicians, Pressing Strings.

Kim Hannon, founder of the Sea Glass Festival, shared her enthusiasm for the upcoming festival by explaining some new additions this year, “The festival has had the opportunity to expand our lecture series with renowned experts and our music line-up includes local talented musicians on two stages on both Saturday and Sunday!  Our attendees are going to have a fun, informative and cultural experience all wrapped up in one festival!”

The two-day festival ticket includes entrance to the Eastern Shore Sea Glass and Coastal Arts Festival, live music, lectures, exhibitions and historic structures on the campus of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum.   The Eastern Shore Sea Glass & Coastal Arts Festival is a rain or shine event and the CBMM does not allow dogs during festival hours.
