“REVOLUTION!” at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown

Public evening lectures explore the international perspective of revolution across the centuries and how these events impacted the lives of millions of ordinary people across the world.

February 27: Research historian Karen E. Sutton discusses African-American soldiers and sailors in the Revolutionary War. Reservations required at [email protected] or (757) 253-4572 and available to the public starting January 2.

March 26: Published scholar Dr. Kacy Tillman examines loyalist women writers of the American Revolution. Reservations required at [email protected] or (757) 253-4572 and available to the public starting January 30.

April 23: Veteran historical interpreter Mark Schneider explores Lafayette, Napoleon and the French Revolution. Reservations required at [email protected] or (757) 253-4572 and available to the public starting February 27.

May 21Henry Louis Gates, Jr., Emmy-award winning filmmaker, literary scholar and cultural critic, examines reconstruction and dawn of the Jim Crow era. Reservations required at [email protected] or (757) 253-4572 and available to the public starting March 26.
