As all water enthusiasts know, Bay boating (and splashing off docks) gets more and more fun as the summer goes on. Except for one thing: jellyfish. Some years they arrive as early as mid-July, and suddenly it’s not so fun to jump off the boat for a cooling swim.
Nettle Net boat pools are portable anti-jellyfish pools made of mesh that protect swimmers from getting stung in nettle-infested waters. You can launch it off the boat from a handy storage bag or even tie it to your pier. Nettle Nets have been made on the Chesapeake for more than four decades. Here’s a look at the net in action:
