Man Wins New Boat at Easton's Waterfowl Festival

Randy Perry (left) picks up his shiny new raffle winnings from BassPro Shops in Hanover, Maryland

One lucky visitor from the 2017 Waterfowl Festival is starting 2018 with a brand-new boat.

Easton, Maryland resident Randy Perry is the Grand Prize winner of the Sportsman’s Raffle, held during the festival this past November. Perry wins a Tracker Grizzly Jon Boat with a Mercury 25 horsepower outboard motor and trailer, valued at $10,000, donated by BassPro Shops. Perry had apparently been looking for a boat for two years.

The raffle for BassPro Shops’ Jon Boat helped raise $7,000 for the World Waterfowl Calling Championships.

Chesapeake Bay Magazine was a proud sponsor of the festival this year.

The 48th Waterfowl Festival, held in Easton, is scheduled for November 9-11, 2018, and organizers anticipate having another equally enticing raffle. The festival is dedicated to wildlife conservation, the promotion of wildlife art, and the celebration of life on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
