Maryland Boaters Can Now Renew Boat Registrations Online

It’s a welcome new era of convenience for Maryland boaters. For the first time, Maryland boat owners can now renew their registrations online through the Department of Natural Resources licensing service page or through the Motor Vehicle Administration eStore.

All you need is your manufacturer’s hull identification number, which is found on the transom of most production boats, your Maryland vessel registration number, and a credit card to complete the transaction. You will be able to print a 30-day temporary registration receipt at the time. Your new registration card and stickers will arrive by mail in about 10 business days.

Of course, mail-in and walk-in registrations at Maryland DNR Service Centers and MVA kiosks will remain options for renewals.

Virginia also has a convenient online watercraft registration renewal option via the Go Outdoors Virginia page
