We recently had the opportunity to sea-trial this sturdy, no-nonsense center-console from the boatbuilding mecca of Bristol, R.I. It blends a wave-cleaving deep-V bottom with wide reversed chines for stability and dry running. More than a dozen rod holders, a livewell, tackle storage, and fishboxes serve piscatorial assignments, while comfortable seating, massive storage, and a true standup console interior with head serve family and social needs. The console’s interior also offers a comfortable double bunk for naps. A major bonus is that C&C Marine, NorthCoast’s parent company, is a semi-custom builder ready to incorporate almost any special features you can think of.
