October brings the United States Sailboat Show and Powerboat Show to Annapolis, and Chesapeake Bay Magazine will be in the middle of it all, putting on parties and offering special deals and prizes.
The Sailboat Show runs October 4-8 and the Powerboat Show is October 11-14, in the heart of Annapolis City Dock. Annapolis Boat Shows proudly proclaims they are the nation’s largest in-water boat shows. Every major U.S. sailboat manufacturer will be represented at one of the only all-sailboat shows in the world. And organizers say nearly 700 powerboats will be on display, including dozens of new models.

If you dream of chartering a boat somewhere exotic (or somewhere closer to home), you can shop around at the show’s Vacation Basin. The special area is dedicated to charter opportunities from dozens of different companies, including ten at “Mediterranean Corner.” To learn more about Vacation Basin, click here.
In addition to the new and used boats for sale and charters to book, demos and boating courses will be offered, and hundreds of vendors exhibiting their boating products.
Chesapeake Bay Magazine will be stationed at Tent 59-A, giving away prizes that include a Coast Guard First Aid Kid, high-end sailcloth Seabags tote, and Annapolis Seafood gift certificates. We’ll have our best deals of the year on our cruising guides, including the ICW Mile-by-Mile Guide, our new Guide to Boating the Potomac River, and the classic Guide to Cruising Chesapeake Bay.
Again this year, Annapolis Green is putting the boat shows’ only refillable water station outside the CBM tent. Bring your bottle and refill all day for free.
Sailboat Show and Powerboat Show attendees can both join our Chesapeake Bay Magazine parties. CBM is throwing its annual Boat Show Bash, along with the Annapolis School of Seamanship, on Saturday, October 6 from 6 – 9 p.m. on the Rooftop Patio of Pusser’s Caribbean Grille, overlooking the Sailboat Show with a live band and cash bar. At the United States Powerboat Show, join us at Tent 59-A for a subscriber/follower party on Saturday, October 13 from 6- 8 p.m. We’ll have wine, beer, soft drinks, and snacks, and good conversation with Chesapeake Bay Magazine and Bay Bulletin staff.
