Pastrana's stunt car grazes the edge of the dock in his eye-popping Gymkhana video by Hoonigan Productions.

VIDEO: Pastrana Ego Alley Stunt Film Immediately Goes Viral

Bay Bulletin was behind the scenes just before Chesapeake Bay native son Travis Pastrana attempted his most personal stunt yet: jumping a custom Subaru across Annapolis’s Ego Alley as the Miss Geico race boat sped directly underneath him.

The stunt, along with other daring driving moves around Pastrana’s hometown of Annapolis, like drifting under a boat lift at an Edgewater marina, was filmed for a Hoonigan Productions web video series called Gymkhana, whose wild auto action films have a collective 550 million views. The video’s title? “Hometown Shred”.

There’s also a harrowing scene with Pastrana’s car and a stunt plane at Ridgley Airpark on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

On Tuesday, six weeks after curious Annapolitans watched his car go hurtling through the air, Hoonigan released Pastrana’s finished product. The film doesn’t disappoint. It had nearly half a million views just two hours after it was posted, and that number was 1.8 million the same night.

Pastrana’s seven-year-old daughter even makes a cameo during the final credits, jumping over a car with her Can-Am Off-Road four-wheeler. He says she begged to be involved in the video and practiced for two weeks to prove she could land the stunt, Pastrana said in a Facebook post.
