A popular Virginia seafood restaurant moved into a new, bigger location, with local leaders on hand to kick things off.
Surf’s Up is now located at 100 Cary’s Chapel Road in Poquoson. Owner Jan Rollins held a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Gene Hunt, Vice Mayor Carey Freeman, members of City Council, and other local supporters.
Surf’s Up is best known for its classic Chesapeake Bay seafood, including crabcakes that get quite a few mentions on Yelp, and also homemade pies and desserts.
Rollins says since the ribbon-cutting, the restaurant has received widespread support, filling to capacity and breaking records at the new location.
Surf’s Up is open Monday and Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
