Pursuit’s new flagship, the 408 CC Sport, is effectively a 21st-century take on the old concept of dayboats like the iconic 35-foot Ryboviches of the 1950s. Like them, she’s built to fish hard and far, but she offers comfortable accommodations for both day cruising and overnighting.

Oh, yes, she’s more than a little faster. With triple Yamaha 350 four-strokes, her electronics would put Navy ships of the ’50s to shame, and she offers both air-conditioning and heat, thanks to her diesel generator. Her optional Seakeeper 5 gyro can tame gnarly seas. Technically a center-console with wide walkways, her capacious helm, hardtop and on-deck seating offer plenty of sun and weather protection. There’s plenty of room for entertaining in the spacious bow area. The cabin offers a V-berth, enclosed head and galley. All of this comes with typical Pursuit quality and attention to detail. Base price is $643,940. www.pursuitboats.com
