Schooner Sultana at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum

The schooner Sultana has kicked off the first of her two visits to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum (CBMM) in St. Michaels.

Sultana will be a welcome springtime attraction at the CBMM now through May 23 and when she returns for her second visit to the Museum’s waterfront from June 29 through July 1.

During her time at the Museum, Sultana will host students for an under-sail environmental science program on the Miles.

Guests visiting CBMM, including those attending the Museum’s Community Day on May 20 and Big Band Night on June 30, will be able to see Sultana dockside.

As part of the Sultana Education Foundation, the sailing vessel, a replica of a British schooner that patrolled the North American coast just before the American Revolution, serves as a floating classroom for Chesapeake Bay and environmental education. Both day-long and live-aboard programs are available on Sultana.
