Sneak Peek: Revamped Tilghman Island Resort Opens This Weekend

The new Wylder Hotel Tilghman Island, formerly the iconic Harrison’s Chesapeake House, will host its first guests this weekend. And if you’re curious to see the improvements to the storied resort, we’ve got a sneak peek.

Bay Bulletin first reported in February on Harrison’s transformation into a boutique hotel. Click here to read more.

Wylder will hold its soft opening this weekend, with an introductory rate of $200 a night. The hotel tells Bay Bulletin that the salt water pool is heated, and the kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards are ready to go.

The new seafood bar Mumbo (the name is a combination of “Massive Jumbo Crab”) will also be open starting this weekend. Veteran chef Sean Wheaton is serving crab cakes, fried oysters, grilled oyster with lardo and chile salt, and burgers with Old Bay aioli. Mumbo’s Happy Hour will include oyster shooters with the bar’s made-in-house Blood Mary mix.
