Later this month, thousands of Chesapeake Bay foodies are expected to show up in Southern Maryland for the town’s 15th Taste of Solomons.
The food festival serves up samples from restaurants on Saturday, March 23, in the historic Town Center. The Solomons Business Association puts on the event each year, showcasing local restaurants and businesses. This year, 14 Solomons businesses will offer things to eat and drink, from the Solomons Island Winery to Lotus Kitchen, with several restaurants bringing creative spins to Bay favorites.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 23. Tickets are only $5 and the proceeds benefit the Solomons July 4th fireworks display. You can buy tickets at any of the participating businesses, or at the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices McNelis Group Properties office in Solomons Island.
The McNelis Group is a longtime event sponsor, and Senior Director of Marketing Vandy Young says it gets more popular each time.
“I have been involved in the SBA marketing for some 6 years now and every year the event gets bigger. Last year the crowds were estimated by the local Sheriff at 7,5000 people.”
