Taste Williamsburg's "Scrumptious" 4-Day Food Festival

Riverwalk Restaurant Executive Chef Brian Hines. Riverwalk is the first stop on Thursday evening’s Yorktown Tapas Crawl.

Next weekend the greater Williamsburg area, including the Yorktown waterfront, will become a foodie paradise.

The “Scrumptious” festival brings a full schedule of food and drink-related events, with some music and art mixed in. Some things require tickets, but others are free.

The festival kicks off Thursday evening, April 25, with the Yorktown Tapas Crawl at Riverwalk Landing. Three waterfront restaurants will feature special menus and alcohol pairings. Also on Thursday in Williamsburg, a free community concert called “Live on the Green” will have craft beer from local breweries, food trucks from Yorktown Market days, and features the Hampton Roads-based band Slapnation.

That concert and the rest of the weekend’s events take place on the lawn of the Williamsburg Community Building on N. Boundary Street. Friday brings “Foodapalooza of Taste,” with small plates from eleven popular Hampton Roads chefs, unique cocktails, and live music. On Saturday, “Young and Hungry” spotlights six of the region’s youngest and most cutting-edge chefs, preparing a six-course menu full of local ingredients.

On Sunday, the sixth annual Williamsburg Craft Beer Festival offers 50 craft beers from 25 breweries, with 100% of proceeds supporting nonprofit organizations in Greater Williamsburg.

The Scrumptious festival is being put on by CultureFix VA. For the full schedule and more information, click here.
