The Upper Bay Museum in North East, Maryland, marks a big milestone this month. For the 50th time, hundreds of hand-carved decoys and other maritime art will be auctioned off. The Upper Shore Decoy Show is one of the longest continuously running shows in the country.
For the 50th anniversary, the Museum is planning a preview party and benefit auction for the evening of Friday October 20, beginning at 6 p.m., with the Decoy Show itself on Saturday October 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition to demonstrations and kids’ activities, both the museum and boat school will be open and volunteers will be available to give tours.
The show takes places at the North East Fire Hall. For more details on the Decoy Show, click here.
