A group of women proved nearly everyone wrong in the Whitbread Round the World Race abord Maiden more than 30 years ago. Today, the racing yacht is spiffed up and on tour with a new mission to inspire young girls. It’ll be visiting two Bay ports this spring. Cheryl Costello spoke to the crew, currently in Charleston and ready to sail their next leg up the Bay. Watch below:
