A growing list of Chesapeake Bay distilleries are switching into COVID-19 crisis mode, pivoting from making spirits to producing hand sanitizer for emergency workers.
Sagamore Spirits in Baltimore, Lyons Distilling in St. Michaels, McClintock in Frederick, and Blackwater on Kent Island all got quickly up to speed to deliver this crucial resource to first responders and medical personnel. McClintock Distilling, at the headwaters of the Monocacy River, gave Bay Bulletin‘s Cheryl Costello a virtual look at how they’re churning out thousands of gallons of hand sanitizer. Watch below:
