He started out sailing on Virginia rivers, joined the Navy as a young man, and later in life discovered a hidden talent for tying knots.
But John Trevett doesn’t tie just any knots. They are intricate designs that form large works of art, some of which bring tens of thousands of dollars. One now hangs in the Pentagon, which recently honored Trevett and a partner, who together keep this ancient craft alive. Cheryl Costello shows us their amazing work. Watch below:
