VIDEO: Capitals Hockey Sticks as Oyster Habitat?

If you’re a sports fan who also happens to love the Chesapeake Bay, this might be the water restoration project for you. The organization Rink2Reef, a relative newcomer to the Bay, collects hockey sticks and turns them into oyster reefs. Mostly made of carbon fiber, the sticks won’t break down no matter how long they’re submerged.

Now, as Cheryl Costello explains, the Washington Capitals are jumping on board. Watch below:
