VIDEO: Count & Catch Snakeheads to Fight Invasive Species

Anglers from Baltimore and Pennsylvania travel to Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge for a special kind of challenge. They’re looking to catch snakeheads–those hideous-looking invasive fish that have spread through the Chesapeake watershed.

Conservationists are looking to find out how many snakeheads are being caught, and where, so they’ve launched an effort calling on anglers to report them via smartphone app. Cheryl Costello goes snakehead fishing to show us how it works. Watch below:
