It’s official: the U.S. Navy’s 11th littoral combat ship is now named the USS Sioux City. She made history as the first warship to be commissioned at the Naval Academy in Annapolis. Thousands of people watched the patriotic ceremony, before the ship’s crew set a course for the future. Cheryl Costello was there for Bay Bulletin, and she took her camera on board the fast-moving, shallow-draft combat vessel to give us an up-close look.
