VIDEO: DIY Iron Casting at Maritime Museum

It’s not everyday you get to see a shape you designed coming together in hot molten metal. That’s exactly what some lucky amateur artists got to experience in Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum’s first ever Pour on the Shore workshop.

The multi-day event brought traditional iron casting to the St. Michaels waterfront, as museum tradespeople partnered with Chesapeake College educators and cult-favorite brand Butter Pat Pans.
