VIDEO: Md. Celebrates Reopening of Bay Boating

Before this spring, it would have been hard to imagine Maryland without pleasure boating. But that was the reality we saw for five weeks of the pandemic, right up until Thursday, May 7.

The recreational boating ban was part of a larger set of restrictions meant to slow the spread of the coronavirus, but for many boat owners itching to get on the water, the governor’s decision to lift the ban is cause for celebration. It will provide a boost to the boating industry in a tough economic time, too.
