On the heels of a study that found that in 40 years of Bay cleanup efforts and funding, water quality has only slightly improved, Maryland is taking a new approach. On Friday Maryland Governor Wes Moore announced a new council using science-based strategies to restore the Chesapeake Bay and an oyster shell “task force” to put even more emphasis on bringing back the oyster population.
