Dozens of local students played hooky from school last week, but not for the reasons you’d expect. They were staging a protest outside the Maryland State House, to call attention to climate change and push for policy change.
The group of high schoolers, who hail from across Maryland, are fighting for the Clean Energy Jobs Act, which would require utilities to get more of their electricity from in-state wind and solar sources.
