VIDEO: Mussels to Help Reverse Decades-Old D.C. Pollution

The effort to clean up Washington D.C.’s Anacostia River has a mountain of history to overcome. For years, toxic sediment from Navy munitions and other waste went right into the river. Now, a pilot program is putting mussels to work filtering the water.
