VIDEO: New Program to Recycle Your Boat’s Shrink Wrap

Thousands of boats in the Chesapeake Bay region are coming out of their plastic shrink wrap for the season. That means yards and yards of plastic waste for every boat. A growing number of marinas take part in shrink wrap recycling, but one Maryland county is making it so even individuals who unwrap their own boats can conveniently recycle their wrap.

Queen Anne’s County is leading the way with a new program. Their system makes it easy for individuals to recycle their wrap once it comes off—even easier than taking the wrap to the dump. Cheryl Costello shows us how it works. Watch below:
