The Patapsco River is quickly becoming the center of Maryland’s offshore wind industry. The second of two new wind turbine component factories was just announced at Sparrows Point, the former site of Bethlehem Steel. Orsted broke ground on its turbine manufacturing plant Friday as the governor officially signed a law to quadruple Maryland’s offshore wind goals.
