Oyster farmers on the Chesapeake Bay are doing their best to stay successful despite a dramatic drop in demand from restaurants during the pandemic. Lawmakers are calling on the federal government to help the oyster industry. But in the meantime, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation is helping these small businesses reach more consumers directly–through new oyster pop-up shops in Maryland and Virginia.
