VIDEO: Seniors Work to Save the Bay in Retirement

A group of senior citizens living along the Patuxent River are doing more than just relaxing in their golden years. Volunteers at the Asbury Solomons retirement community have just launched their second Chesapeake Bay restoration project.

The first one–an oyster garden–was targeted by poachers. But that hasn’t deterred the Asbury group from their efforts. They showed Bay Bulletin’s Cheryl Costello their new effort, a landscape to catch runoff before it reaches the river. Watch below:
