After a lot of painstaking work, the iconic Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse is structurally secure for at least another 40 years.
Bay Bulletin has been following the renovations at Chesapeake Bay’s last screwpile lighthouse for the past 13 months, as 144-year-old rods and beams made way for new ones. Cheryl Costello took a ride out to the National Historic Landmark to see the important fixes. Watch below:
